!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! Not saying they are going to be good, but no harm in trying them and seeing what happens. Welds don't look half bad and it even comes with a gasket.

I know the feeling, anytime someone talks cheap Ford or Chevy cams I feel a stabbing sensation in my gut.
Then I remember that at least I don't own and mod a BMW, and the pain goes away.

True for engine mods I guess, but coilovers for these cars(the good ones) are still expensive. I was looking at KW Clubsports for S13s, and they are 3600 dollars! Makes sense cause they are fantastic coilovers.
I can't imagine modding a European car, they love to make things complicated!

Not half bad welds you say??
But seriously, if you are going to replace OEM headers with something aftermarket, at least consider a proper equal-length runner set-up. Otherwise, what's the point?

Ouch. I know it's like anything, really, how fast you want to go depends on how much you're willing to spend.

Just remember, you can make a new Mustang GT sound like this with just a tune. (And GT500 mufflers, but the tune adjusts the cam timing)

True story. Unless of course it is for a boxer, then go unequal all the way !! I saw some foxbody mustang headers and they were pretty terrible in design, but for a 100 bucks can't really complain. I am going to try and find one with a merge collector and see how much it is. I am okay with spending more on headers for a car, it is the most important part of the exhaust, the others can be cheap ebay parts.

Well, I want an S13 when I get out of college to turn into a track car and back road destroyer, so I want some really good parts, mostly cause I will have the cash to do it with a real job and such.

Do it while you can, make it your dream car, and just don't let it go. I bought my Evo when I secured employment, single and living cheaply with friends. Now that I'm married with a few kids, it wouldn't be possible. My wife knows the car is not negotiable!

Also, they could be worse. I have seen some shitty welds from major companies like Borla.

I definitely will! Luckily, S13s are pretty cheap to get, and parts are plentiful. Whenever I get married, the wife has to understand cars are going to be a big part of the family.

... Best not go there.
There is a perfect equal length header available for the engine in my car (PSA Citroën TU5JP4 engine) ... but then I'd need a turbo as well, really.
One can dream. My car is about to be replaced in the coming 8 weeks or so. Not going to turbocharge it now.

Mmmmm, those look purdy. I bought a set of these, they are unequal length(obviously).
Partly because they are cheaper(800 dollars vs 1100 for equal), partly because they sound awesome, and partly cause they actually perform really well(22hp gain)! Could gain 2 or 3 more hp if I went with ELs, but for 300 more dollars not worth it.

It's simple...your S13 header (no -s) costs half as much, cause you get half the pair!

Those will probably be a waste of $100 and your time.
Welds are suspect, flange is probably not flat and the bolt holes aren't even round, the bends into the last Y are kinked, and who knows how good that gasket is.
Cheap headers are always a gamble (and usually a loss in my experience) on most of the engine/chassis combos out there.

It's like magic.

Well, you can get decent ones (for an S14 at least) from Megan Racing for only 40 bucks more than that. Not that I have yet...but very sooon.

Those do look pretty good, but they are pretty unequal. You showing me these don't help anything. I had to work full time for 2 weeks just to be able to afford my headers which were on sale!!!

Man that's crazy
![]() 02/16/2014 at 14:22 |

Well to be fair, the cheapest ones are like 600 bucks and the most expensive ones are 1200. I am somewhere inbetween at 800. Luckily it paid off, they didn't fit so I got new ones, for free!!!

Awesome

Oh yeah dude, it is awesome. It is the greatest thing ever. I would chop a left nut off for one. Or maybe I wouldn't. That is for you to decide though, but I am not crazy YOU ARE CRAZY!!

Maybe a little.
